Mission Partners: the Chelashaws 

Rev. Kip’ Chelashaw is married to Rachel and, together with their 4 children (Elijah, 13; Ezra, 11; Susanna, 9 and Bethany, 7) serve at Christ Church Loresho, a church plant in Nairobi, Kenya, a socio-economically diverse city of 5.5 million people.

Rachel was born in South Africa to missionary parents and worked as a nurse for 7 years but is now focused on the children, their home, Sunday school and discipling women.
Kip’ served as assistant minister in the benefice in 2015-2017 and Bethany was born at DGH Eastbourne. 😊

Currently the church plant has a vibrant Sunday school of over 120 children and teenagers from the local slum which is then followed by a church service attended by about 70. The church meets in the Chelashaws’ home but is in the process of seeking to buy a dedicated church venue so that the work can continue to grow.
